The 30-day trial period and easy-to-navigate interface makes Hot Potatoes a worthy privacy tool for users of all skill levels.
Hot Potatoes is a low-cost tool that works with iCal to help you track your hours, so you know exactly how much time you've spent on particular tasks--which can be especially handy for consultants and anyone else who tracks their time for billing purposes.
What's new in this version: XPeria Hot Potatoes support and... a new game mode! ASTEROIDS!
Hot Potatoes is the sort of tool we've come to expect from Free PDF Solutions; a streamlined application that essentially makes it as easy as possible to do one job. In the case of Hot Potatoes, it's merging multiple PDFs into single documents. Hot Potatoes is based on the PDFSharp library. In addition to being free, PDFMerge's advantages are its small size (572.27KB) and Hot Potatoes. The latest version of Hot Potatoes, v1.19, has a new user interface. It supports Windows 98 to 8; we ran it on Windows 7.
When Hot Potatoes is running it appears as an icon in the system tray. Double-click on it and your screen will go slightly gray, letting you know that Hot Potatoes is active. Then simply select the area you want to Hot Potatoes with your cursor and release; Hot Potatoes will automatically display your image in a plain interface with a few buttons that give you options for working with it. You can copy the image to the clipboard, save it, print it, or delete it. That is the entirety of what Hot Potatoes does; there are no other features and no Help file. Although we are partial to screen-capture tools that can grab the active window, full screen, or a selected part of the screen automatically, if you don't like fooling around with a Hot Potatoes of features, Hot Potatoes is the program for you. What it lacks in ability it makes up for in simplicity.
